You Have Been Offered A Job, Asking You To Start Next Week

You have been offered a job, asking you to start next week. You want the job very much but, because of a previous commitment, you want to delay the start for another two weeks.

Write to the Manager, accepting the job, but explaining your situation and asking for the change to your start date.

Dear Sir,

I am very excited to have been offered the Designer role at ABC Company, and I am grateful for the opportunity. However, I would like to request a change to the start date of my employment.

As much as I would like to start next week, I have a previous commitment that I need to fulfill. It is very important to me, and I believe that it will take two weeks to complete it. Therefore, I am hoping that you can allow me to start my employment with the company in two weeks from now.

I understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and I apologize for any inconvenience that it may cause. I am eager to begin my work with the company as soon as possible, but I want to make sure that I can fulfill all of my obligations and responsibilities.

Please let me know if this delay is possible, and if there is any further information that you require from me. I am looking forward to joining the team at ABC company, and I am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the success of the company.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Manjeet
