Intro
Well, I’d like to start by saying that change is the law of nature. Normally, I plan my activities very meticulously. But, sometimes things do not go as planned and one has to change one’s plans. So here I would like to talk about a time when the weather changed my plan.
when this happened
It happened when I and my friends planned a trip a few years ago in early July when I had just graduated from high school. During that period, my three good classmates decided to go to Shimla, which was approximately 290 kilometers from my hometown Moga for a graduation trip. We actually made very detailed plans about that journey including booking the train tickets, hotel rooms, selecting the scenic spots and choosing appropriate recreational activities. It seemed that we were fully prepared.
what made you change the plan
It was cloudy, and we could anticipate that it would rain, but we never thought it could be that bad. Unfortunately, just when we were about to depart it started raining heavily. We decided to wait for some time for the rain to slow down and then we would go. But it started raining cats and dogs, and the rain went on for five hours at a stretch.
what the new plan was
As the rain was not stopping, we had nothing to do else. My mother made our day by preparing fritters and tea for all of us. Moreover, my friend got an idea to watch a newly released horror movie VERONICA. He also told that out of 100 people only one person could have watched this movie. So in the end, we cancel our trip and enjoyed at home eating fritters and watching that horror movie on Netflix.
and how you felt about the change.
I was so excited about this trip that I couldn’t sleep last night and sadly ended up staying at home. Although we could not go to Shimla, we had a fun time together. Even after the rain stopped, there was a lot of waterlogging on the roads and my friends could not go home till late evening. So that was a day when the weather changed our plan.
