“Prevention Is Better Than Cure.” Out of a Country’s Health Budget, Writing Task 2

Present a written argument or case to an educated reader with no specialist knowledge of the following topic. “Prevention is better than cure.” Out of a country’s health budget, a large proportion should be diverted from treatment to spending on health education and preventative measures. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

Nowadays, most of the population are fascinated towards education and their health for their forthcoming days. Moreover, if the education is priceless, some people ascertain that “Prevention is better than cure”. As a result, the health budget has to be diverted from treatment to spending on health education and some preventative measures for the nation’s safety. From my perspective, I completely disagree with this assertion. In this essay, I intend to delve into the demerits of migrating money to health education with illustrations.

Firstly, most of the masses are facing issues with their health. Consequently, the majority of people are lower strata who cannot afford money for their treatment. If we spend the entire money on education and on others, then the nation could face a lot of deaths. To cite a pertinent illustration, during this pandemic situation, people faced plenty of struggles for having less penny for their treatment, and so many losses happened in the country. Even though educated doctors and governments are there, but no one can stop the epidemic disease.

Besides, if the money is spent on education and other aspects to save the pride of the nation, it has to be a certain amount which has to be lower than the treatments budget. Owing to this, education is priceless, and everyone can learn by sharing the knowledge like online classes with a low budget. For instance, online classes can help schools and colleges to reduce their school fees because of no need to charge electricity and for the building.

To conclude, thus, in consideration of the above analysis, it is ostensible that the budget on the treatment should climb rather than moving to other budget areas for the dweller’s health.
