Some people think that enjoying the present is more important than planning for the future for both countries and individuals.
There’s a certain school of thought which hold the notion that having fun at the present time is of much relevance compared to having structured plans in some years to come for both the general public and the nation as a whole. From my perspective, I absolutely disagree because an individual can end up losing their wealth and property while the future generation will be made to suffer profoundly in the future.
The main reason why I refute the idea that having fun today is of more vitality than to structure yourself well for tomorrow is that one can end up losing their wealth and property. Specifically speaking, as individuals, it is an indisputable fact that one cannot live without enjoyment; however, letting the fun have dominion over you without planning for tomorrow can lead to irreparable consequences such as losing your money, family and friends and even your house. For example, a renowned football player called Rhonaldinho, after getting a lot of money wasted on unnecessary things without putting any measures in place for the future, resulted in him going bankrupt.
Another reason why I debunk this perception is that when the government of a country only thinks about the current satisfaction of the country without having a well lay down plans for the citizens in the future, it will reach a time where the future generation will be the one to suffer the painful results. To buttress this point, a country like Ghana has numerous resources like gold, oil, cocoa and so on. However, the leaders are unable to utilize them in order to create something beneficial for the future generation. Consequently, the children yet to be born are going to suffer from this.
In conclusion, I reiterate my opinion that it is of great value to have well laid down procedures for the future rather than having fun in the present time as this can avoid one from going bankrupt and also help to protect the younger ones yet to be born. Life is unpredictable, so we should make the right choices.
