Your Friend Had Made A Plan For You To See A Movie Together But You Can Now Not Join Him

Your friend had made a plan for you to see a movie together but you can now not join him. You’ve found another friend who can go instead of you. Write a letter to your friend. In your letter:

  • Explain why you cannot go anymore
  • Say who can go instead of you
  • Say why this person is a good person to go with

Dear Som,

I Hope This Letter Finds You In good health and high spirits. I am writing to inform you that I won’t be able to make it to the movie night we had planned for this Friday. I know how much we were both looking forward to it, but unfortunately, a work emergency has arisen that requires my immediate attention.

However, I have arranged for another friend,John, to join you instead. They are a movie enthusiast just like us and I’m sure they will make great company. They have watched most of the films that we have discussed together and they have also recommended some of their own favorites that I have enjoyed watching. In fact, they were very excited when I mentioned that you had invited me to the movie night, and I am confident that they will be thrilled to join you.

John is a very friendly, outgoing, and fun-loving person. They have a great sense of humor and they know how to make any situation lively and entertaining. I have no doubt that you will enjoy their company and have a fantastic time watching the movie with them.

I apologize for any inconvenience caused by my inability to make it to the movie night. I hope that you will have a wonderful time with John. Do let me know how it goes, and I’ll catch up with you soon.

Best regards,

Manjeet
