In our routine, we take a host of decisions, summations some are easy as pie to take while some are hard, and today I would like to talk about the time when I made one of the toughest decisions I have taken in my life. It was about my career option.

It wasn’t donkey years ago, roughly five years ago, after completing my 10th exam, which is board exam means taken by state educational board not school, I had two options, science and commence.

For that time, I started to take guidance from my kith and kin as well as from my school tutors although, all reference was different. Some told me to science stream while some are appealing for commerce.

One day, my father gave me some advice. As a result, I was able to take that one decision. He advised me that I’ve to think about what I want over what field my peers do.

Later I opted for science real; when I was a child, I had a dream that one day I would become a computer engineer like one of my cousins is. That decision was hard because one of my uncles had good business; he always told me that one day I had to join him in his empire. And for business commerce stream is better.

Luckily I made a good decision, and if I opted for commerce for my uncle business, then I felt regret about it. Unfortunately, his business stopped down in the corona epidemic.

Question 1. What decisions do people generally make in their daily life?

Answer – In routine life,, people take different kinds of decisions, like children make about where they complete homework, study or play a game while business person makes about own business. What to wear today, edible and other stuff decision also made by people.

Question 2. Which is easier, making a decision by oneself or making a decision after a group discussion?

Answer – In my point of view, it is totally dependent upon the situation. In some private matters, it is better to make or take decisions by yourself rather than involve others and take advice from others. On the other hand, for starting a new business and career type of situation, it is better to make it on the group and after advice from an experienced person. For a career, there is numerous consultancy around the world.

Question 3. Why are many young people unwilling to listen to their parent’s advice?

Answer – I believe that primary one reason is that nowadays’ youth feel that their parent give them wrong advice as well as have belief that they can do better by self. Furthermore, the internet and peers also spoil teenagers to unwilling their parent’s advice.

Question 4. Why do middle-aged people tend to second guess their decision?

Answer – Well, they don’t have confidence in the first guess it could be one reason so, they also like to have a second. Another reason is that if plan A fails then, they can implement plan B immediately rather than waiting or after taking some time.
