“Prevention is better than cure.” Out of a country’s health budget (2) (1)

“Prevention is better than cure.” Out of a country’s health budget, a large proportion should be diverted from treatment to spending on health education and preventative measures. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement?

The term “Prevention” refers to the protection of the body before incurring any illness. Therefore, some people assert that higher authorities of the nation should share a major proportion of the health budget for spreading awareness among the community by spending extravagant money on teaching systems rather than investing in treatments of diseases. However, I agree with the statement to a large extent, but spending for treatment purposes could not be neglect completely. Hence, this essay will discuss those reasons which surrounding my standpoint that prevention is a must rather than cure.

To commence with, the causes that why the government should invest in the treatment of diseases for community welfare. One of the main reasons is the uncontrollable nature of illness because some sickness is far away from predicting as well as prevention measures, which cannot be restrained without a possible cure. Hence, regimes should fix up the budget for combat to that sort of issue. For instance, the Coronavirus is a pandemic and spread instantly. Ultimately this phenomenon put pressure on the government to save the life of their community, and owing to this. Official authorities had to arrange more and more hospitals as well as medicines, even oxygen for patients of Corona.

Apart from this, there are multifarious reasons for supporting the teaching system notion to make aware to people along of the consequences of any illness. Initially, awareness campaigns teach folks about the results of smoking, drinking, or any other drug that might affect their body organs very badly, and they cannot survive for a long time. As a result, communities take preventive measures to protect themselves against any health assaults. Moreover, exhibit the benefits of taking exercises such as aerobics, meditation, walking and playing in sports, etcetera, attracts several people to join the gymnasium, playgrounds, and even parks, making a healthy environment. Probing further, educational programmes make individuals responsible for their health. Ultimately, it strengthens a nation’s economy with a healthy community and saves them money and invests for other purposes rather than spending on treatments.

To recapitulate, although treatment is necessary for saving the life of human beings and investment for more medical institutions and research for medication the teaching programs are better than any cure which take away to people from any illness such as, awareness among folks, make them responsible, boost up the economy etcetera.
