Some People Prefer to Spend Their Lives Doing the Same Things and Avoiding Change

Some people prefer to spend their lives doing the same things and avoiding change. Others, however, think that change is always good. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.


There are split opinions regarding this topic as Some believe that sticking to the same activities will be beneficial, whereas a group of thinkers support altering the work brings more benefits. However, both have their own pros and cons. This essay elaborates both views with supporting examples and by giving my own opinion and thus lead to a logical conclusion.

To begin with, the main arguments that would be put forward are that conventional methods are more convenient than the new techniques. In other words, People who are accustomed to particular tasks are more rapid to perform in which they can achieve accuracy with zero defects. For example, old people always want to know the information by reading the newspaper rather than looking into the mobile device because they are not familiar with modern gadgets. Moreover, the English proficiency test such as IELTS, known as the International English test system, have different options for the students to attempt it like pen and paper-based, computer-based but still out of 100 pupils, 60 people will opt for the ancient method such as pen and paper-based because of its easiness.

On the contrary, the latter view suggests that because of updating themselves with the latest techniques, they can easily fit into a new environment. Firstly, people think that the change in their daily routine will make them see themselves as a different person. For instance, today youngsters are more into business because they are not interested in working under pressure. So, they are starting their own enterprise and if they are failed initially and thinks that learning new strategies and changing the whole rules will get more profits. Also, it makes them more flexible and habituated to new things very easily. As a result, the Success rate is increased and able to cope with the challenges in life. I feel that

To conclude, there are no easy answers to the question as some opine that old methods are reliable while other sets of people argue that replacing the past with newer methods. On balance, however, I believe that switching to better options will definitely make the person achieve success and can easily face obstacles.
