The Gap Between the Rich and The Poor Is Becoming Wider; the Rich Are Becoming Richer, and The Poor Are Getting Even Poorer. (1)

The gap between the rich and the poor is becoming wider; the rich are becoming richer, and the poor are getting even poorer. What problems can the situation cause? What can be done to reduce this gap? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge and experience.

It is obvious nowadays how the affluent keep flourishing whiles the less privileged people keep getting poorer, expanding the gap between these two types of people.

This should not have been the case in the first place as we as humans are supposed to help one another, but here is the case where everyone is trying to find something to help and feed his/her family, and in the course of this, neglect the poor people. This can lead to a number of immoral activities, especially among the poor. The poor might try to manoeuvre his ways and get something to feed on, this could lead him/her (the poor) trying to steal from other people, and this could lead to insecurity in the neighbourhood and also can even cause deaths as one might get caught and get beaten to death.

Reducing this gap between these two groups of people isn’t a simple task but could be possible if there is cooperation and friendship between these two groups of people in their community. If these people stay together in the same community, this could help them to interact usually and limit the inferiority complexes among the two. For example, our ministers staying in very big apartments and expensive cars stays together in a certain location where poor men can’t afford to live. This reduces the rate at which they get to mingle with the poor, and this keeps enlarging the gap between the two. So if there were affordable houses built in such areas for which the less privileged could afford to live, it would be very effective in bringing the two closer.

Overall, the possible problem could be theft. And these could be solved by the two groups coming to live together in the same locality.
