The Governments Should Give Each Citizen a Basic Income so That They Have Enough Money (1)

The governments should give each citizen a basic income so that they have enough money to live on, even if they are unemployed. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

The problem of basic income, even if they are unemployed, which was always debatable, has now become more controversial, with many people claiming that it is beneficial while others reject this notion. The substantial influence of this trend has sparked controversy over potential impact in recent years. In my opinion, the former proposition appears to be more rational. This essay will further elaborate my views for favouring the negative impact of this trend and thus will lead to a logical conclusion.

Analyzing the statement and explaining further, the first and foremost reason behind this is that giving income to every citizen, even if they are unemployed, will help to raise the negative value of Education. Everyone is doing their best to earn their bread and butter based on their Education and occupational skills; if the authorities start distributing the money to everyone, then this hard work will become zero. No one will bother to put their 100 per cent effort into the basic needs of life. Another striking drawback in this regard is that most people will lose hope to become self-dependent as they know about the basic subsidies are given by their authorities. Categorically discussing, it can not be ignored that the economic growth of the nation will get affected very badly. So it does not appear to be a favourable thought.

On the flip side, some people appreciate the fact that authorities should give each national basic pay so that they have enough money to live their life without any problem. If people get money to live, they will not attempt any criminal activity. Because most of the crimes happened to fulfil the basic needs of life (bread and butter), I still say that this is not the right approach to stable the economic growth of the nation. So governments should not provide a free basic income to everyone, rather than make it restricted only for some categories such as senior citizens, handicapped people, and children under 18 years.

To sum up, according to the arguments aforementioned above, one can reach a conclusion that the drawbacks of distributing free basic salary to every citizen are indeed too dire.
