You Learned a Piece of News from Your Friend Regarding a Part-Time Job

You learned a piece of news from your friend regarding a part-time job at a new international company near your house. Write a letter to that company.

In your letter, you should:

  • Explain why you need that job
  • Give the details of what you can do for the company
  • Suggest a time that you can work.

Dear Sir or Madam,

I had been informed by one of my friends, who work as a marketing executive in your company about the part-time job for a receptionist; and, I would like to enquire about it.

To be honest, being a full-time student in a college, I need to pay my fees for my next semester. So I need a job. What’s more, I will be able to overcome my fear of public speaking. So it is an opportunity for me to enhance my communication skill that will be more helpful in my later periods of life.

As my job is communicating with clients to make them aware of the latest products of the company and asking them about their experience after using those products. So I will help in escalating the sales of the products of the company by using telephonic conversation, and if there is a need to do fieldwork, then I would not have hesitated. Moreover, asking people about the experience after using the products of a company can build a good reputation of a company as generally it is not seen that companies are taking feedback regularly from their users. Apart from it, I am computer literate, so my computer skills can assist in enhancing sales of products as I can keep people updated about products via technology.

I would like to work from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. as it was told me. But, if there is a need to work at weekends, I shall not hesitate as I remain free at weekends, So time is no issue for me.

It would be great if you give me a chance to work in your firm by considering the above-mentioned information.

I am looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.

Yours faithfully,
