You Play A Team Sport With Some Friends

You play a team sport with some friends. Last week a member of the team had an accident and wasn’t able to play with you at the weekend. You decide to write to him in hospital, telling him about the match.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,

  • tell him which team won
  • describe the conditions on the day
  • say how you felt about the match
Dear Robbi ,

I hope this letter finds you well and that you are recovering from your accident. I wanted to write to you to tell you about the match we played last weekend.

Unfortunately, without you, our team struggled to keep up with the other team, and we ended up losing the match. It was a tough game, and the other team played very well. The conditions were also quite challenging – it was very hot and humid, which made it difficult to keep our energy up and stay focused.

Despite the loss, I felt proud of our team for continuing to play hard and never giving up. We faced many challenges throughout the game, but we worked together and supported each other, which made me feel like we were still winners in some way. I also wanted to let you know that we all missed having you there with us and that we hope you can join us on the field again soon.

Overall, the match was a good experience, and I learned a lot about myself and my teammates. I feel like we have a strong team, and I am looking forward to playing with you again in the future.

I hope this letter finds you well, and I wish you a speedy recovery. Take care, and I look forward to seeing you soon.

Best regards,

Vivek
