sample answer:
Dear Sir or Madam,
On the last week, I traveled through your airlines where I had lost my suitcase. I am writing with my disappointment to your company that even after a week, I have not heard anything from you. I would request you to take necessary action in order to find my suitcase back.
Last Monday, 24th July, I was traveling from London to New York for business purposes in the flight number AI201 and my seat number was F24. When the plane landed at New York airport at almost 2.00 AM, I was exhausted and rushed towards the hotel. While reaching the hotel, I came to know that my bag was missing, which I had forgotten to pick up from the plane. At the same time, I called your reception counter and informed the staff member, while she had assured me to update within 24 hours.
I would like to describe my bag so that you would find it easy. I kept it in the luggage counter above my seat number. It is a medium-sized bag made in black leather fabric, along with two pockets on both the sides. The brand logo is impressed on the right bottom side in white color. My suitcase contains some essential documents including my business certificate, seminar ticket, and my property tax bills which I have recently paid to councils and some gifts and jewelry for the members of the family.
I would request you to inform me within 24 hours after receiving this letter. If you are not able to get my bag then fill the baggage lost claim form, so that I can claim to the insurance company for compensation of lost items.
Your prompt response is highly appreciated.
Yours Faithfully,
Swetang Patel
