Intro
A very essential factor in your personal and professional life is goal setting. Goals are objectives, aims, and targets in order to achieve what you want to achieve. I have made my goals so far and in achieving some of them I failed but didn’t lose my courage. So here I would like to take about a goal that I set by myself and achieved it with my willpower.
What it was
I was always keenly interested in becoming a professional photographer and video director. I remember I used to take pictures of my friends and nature with my iPhone since that time I developed my interest in this career. Therefore, I decided to be a freelance photographer and video director.
When did you set it
I vividly remember that just after completing senior secondary education. I planned to go for leaning photography and I explained my desire to my father. Fortunately, my father’s friend has his own studio in my hometown so he took to the studio and introduced me to his friend and requested him to teach me photography from that time my journey as a photographer started.
How did you achieve it
When I first started out this journey, no doubt I did not have a lot of technical knowledge. I thought I would pick it up along the way, but after about six months in the field, I realized I needed to make some changes if I wanted to be able to progress in my career. That is when I decided to pursue a certified photography course from Punjab university Chandigarh.
This type of certification often takes two years to complete, but I want to do it in a year so I could take myself to another level of photography and video direction. I looked at the courses I needed to take and created a detailed schedule. Thanks to the small goals I had set along the way and the schedule I had created, I got certification in a year, and with that certification, I was able to learn what I desired actually.
Explain how it influenced your life.
After the completion of this course and learning to operate the camera, I got many offers from popular cities such as Mumbai, Chandigarh, Maharastra et cetera to work in the film industry. Moreover, this achievement also taught me that every goal needs hard work and proper timing to achieve it.
