Some People Believe that Everyone Has a Right to Have Access to University Education

Some people believe that everyone has a right to have access to university education and that governments should make it free for all students no matter what financial background they have. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is an irrefutable fact that education is imperative for people. It is argued that government should provide free education for all students without considering their financial backgrounds. I completely agree with this above-mentioned notion which I shall discuss in this essay along with relevant examples in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, there are many facts that force me to believe that everyone has the right to access university education. Firstly it provides an opportunity for all of the students to pursue their dreams because they are able to get free education from the government. As long as the government provides free education to all students, it is possible to access university education for those who come from a poor financial background. It can be exemplified by that the Kerala government provides free education for genuine students, and now because of that, there is IAS officers, doctors, teachers and so on from the tribal community. Hence it can be believed that government should provide free education irrespective of their financial background.

Secondly, another major point is to consider that equality is possible since equal opportunities are provided for all students. If free education is given to them, there are no financial criteria to criticize their talents. The seat reservation by offering money to the university by rich people is a case in point. For this reason, one can claim that free education can surpass all these matters.

In conclusion, this essay argued that government provides free education to all students no matter whether they are rich or poor. I absolutely believe that free education is significant for getting an opportunity for all of them, and it creates equality within students. Thus, it can be hoped that government will consider the free education system.
