The best way to solve the world’s environmental problems is to increase the cost of fuel for cars and other private vehicles. To what extent do you agree or disagree?
The importance of an increase in environmental issues, which was always debatable, has now become controversial, with many people claiming to believe while others reject the notion. The substantial influence of this trend has sparked controversy over the potential impact in recent years. Whereas, the increasing cost of vehicles is not the only option.
Analyzing the statement and explaining further, the first and foremost reason is that only increasing the prices for vehicles or private cars will not be sufficient to decelerate the pollution in the air. However, people will use fewer cars, but also, the fluctuations in price can affect the middle-class and lower-level people. For example, recently Delhi had the highest pollution even though the price of petrol were high.
Probing ahead, there are other reasons through which environmental problems can be solved, and firstly government should reduce the public transportation costs so that people will not use their own cars. Also, the development in technology can be useful to build hybrid cars or wind and solar power more. For example, one of my friends has built an e-bike that is easy to use as a bike and is not harmful to our environment.
To conclude, I believe that only increasing prices will not encourage people to use fewer vehicles but giving some different ideas to build the technology can be a great idea and be useful.
