The table gives information about the number of visitors and their average spending in the United Kingdom from 2003 to 2008.
Overall, it was observed that most people visited the UK in 2007 and spent more whereas in 2008 the number of people visited and their average spending was the least.
From 2003 to 2005 there was a gradual increase in the number of people visited from 24.715 to 29.971 million and they spent 11.885 14.248 pound billions. While in 2006 and 2007 these two parameters are almost similar that is 32.72 million number of people visited and 16.00 pounds billions was the spending.
The average spend per visit during these years shows an upward trend except in 2004 which showed a decrease from their former year. The average nights per visit was constant (8.2) during the initial two years, and in 2005 and 2006 it was 8.3 and 8.4. In the last two years, it was 7.7.
