Some People Say that In Our Modern Age, It Is Unnecessary to Teach Children About the Skills of Handwriting

Some people say that in our modern age, it is unnecessary to teach children about the skills of handwriting. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, all the young generation rely on the computer. This modern developed century has affected so many children and adults that they have forgotten how to write the main reason is using the phone. In this essay, I will give some positive and negative reasons for not using writing in our daily practices.

To start with, many people argues that handwriting practices should not be allowed because of this modern developed century where every other person has to work on the computer and do not need to write. But, using phones or computers daily in our life will affect the juvenile and lead to eyesight issues. Furthermore, it makes a hindrance to their studies because they have forgotten to write the right spelling and then that student has to be good in speaking. For example, a recent survey in India shows that 60% of students have difficulty in writing due to more use of the phone to write their exams.

Adding to the point, experts believe that handwriting should be inclusive in teaching practices where one can use this ability to make their own calligraphy art. Also, this will help them to express themselves more deeply. Good penmanship means better grades in academics can also boost their confidence. For example, my friend sister studying in 10th standard received feedback from her teacher that because of her good and neat handwriting, she scored extra 5marks, which then led to confidence.

To conclude my point, even we are moving towards modernization, and we should forget about our ancient traditions because of which we are and getting our knowledge that is through writing we are able to grasp the knowledge.
