Describe the first time that you used a foreign language to communicate

I can speak and write in three languages. Among the two are my mother tongue, whereas one is a foreign language, namely, Hindi, Gujarati, and English.

Today I would like to talk about the time when I used to talk in the English language for communication. It was not far away or dony years when it happened. I was in sophomore student, and our college organized one cultural event, and I have participated in it. My role was to give a presentation on Indian culture. Our MLA was invited, and he was our special guest.

The entire speech language was English, and I never gave a speech in English before. That time this gonna be my first ever registration. I was excited, and I burn midnight for my preparation. In starting period, it Wasnt easy as pie, although I also took some advice from my senior who did it before and from my professors, especially literature and communication tutors. I address my fault and repair it before my speech.

Event day, I was a bit nervous as well as curious. Like whats happen?. I felt like a butterfly was flying in my stomach when the speaker invited me by announcing my name. Speaking in English was also tough and head of more than 600 people. When I started to speak, my voice was a breakdown, then my friends and some students cheer up my name, and I got confidence. I have spoken for more than 4 minutes.

Overall, the experience was good, and I learn something from it. I also received a certificate. It was the first time when my conversation was in a foreign language, and my parents and I feel proud that I did it well.

What do you think of children learning a foreign language?

Well, I think if juveniles learn a global language, then it is beneficial for later life; for instance, Indian children general speak in Hindi or their mother language. However, if offspring learn a foreign language such as English and Spanish, it is easy for them to communicate with others. Teaching other languages is also parents decision, especially in developing countries.

Why are some language classes boring?

I believe that literature is not easy as pie as compared to other fields as well language has its own structure and form; thus, due to complexity, a host of learners find it boring. Another reason is that teachers, who sometimes lack pedagogical staff classes, are not interested.

Some students hate to learn foreign languages; what can teachers do to develop their interest?

Experts can do it in various ways. Teaching time add relative story and teach by the story is one way moreover, teaching to visual equipment such as projector, video is the way to forge interest in learning foreign language those dislike it.

Some people travel for learning a foreign language, what do you think?

A Myriad of people goes to foreign countries for learning their culture and speaking language. In my opinion, this method is expensive; however, its real experience same as the contrast between reading books and trips.

What’s the best way to learn a foreign language?

I think this totally depends on the person who wanna learn other languages. Those whose memory is Sharp and good at memorising as well as catching skill, they can learn it by watching videos such as on YouTube or reading book. Couching class is also a good way where a person to learn from pedagogical teaching staff.

Why can some people learn languages fast while others learn slowly?

Well, I believe that this is because of a personal mindset and abilities. As I said earlier, some have the ability to observe quality while some take time to understand thus, required more time to learn the language.

Does one’s age affect language learning?

I don’t think age and learning not only language but other things have a connection. Anyone can learn and get mastering on any language and at any age. Nowadays we can see that many children can speak more than two languages whereas, some people can’t do this at adult ages.
