Question 1 Does your name have any special meaning?
Answer – Yes, my name is Dhruv, and its meaning is passion. I was also aware of it nearly a couple of years ago from a website.
Question 2 Is your surname ubiquitous in India?
Answer – Not at all, my surname is common in my town although not in my country. In another part of my nation, it’s rare.
Question 3 Do you like your name?
Answer – Definitely yes, I love my name; it’s unique and has a special meaning.
Question 4 Would you like to change your name?
Answer – To be honest, no, I haven’t thought about it, but I don’t like to change it in future because this name is given by an Apple of my eyes, my maternal aunt.
Question 5 Do people in India ever change their names?
Answer – I think the changing name was common in India in the past, especially during marriage time; for instance, one of my paternal aunties changed her name before marriage. However, nowadays, people are not changing the name.
Question 6 What name do people at home (your family members) call you?
Answer – I don’t have any nickname or a special name which is called by kith and kin. My family members call me by my first name.
Question 7 How do children celebrate birthdays in your country?
Answer – Owing to western influence, celebrating a birthday is common nowadays. The majority of Indians do it by organizing an event and with friends and family or relatives.
Question 8 How did you celebrate your last birthday?
Answer – On my last birthday, was a corona pandemic and the Indian authority also imposed a lockdown. As a result, I celebrated with my family at my house.
Question 9 What kinds of birthday gifts do you like to receive?
Answer – To be honest, I wouldn’t say I like chocolate or toys as gifts. I prefer to receive a gift which beneficial in my routine life, such as perfume, wallet.
Question 10 Is there a difference between the way you celebrated your birthday in the past and the present?
Answer – It’s a dichotomy between my present birthday celebration and what was in the past. I wasn’t celebrating my birthday whereas now I do it by cutting a cake in the past.
