The Average Weight of People Is Increasing and Their Level of Health and Fitness Is Decreasing

In some countries, the average weight of people is increasing and their level of health and fitness is decreasing. What do you think are the causes of these problems and what measures could be taken to solve them? Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.

In many countries, weight problems have become a highlighted point in physical strength and fitness. Weight-related problems have arisen over the past few decades, and it has many possible reasons. Our health is directly or indirectly affected by the weight of our body; this is the main reason that many multinational companies check their employee’s body mass levels every year to handle health-related issues.

If we discuss the causes of these problems, then the main reason is junk food consumption. It has a high amount of carbohydrates which not only factors to increase weight but it also blocks the veins of our heart which causes a stroke. Secondly, work-related issues also play a major role. Nowadays, due to the increase in technology, every area of work is possible by means of sitting only with a computer-aided system. Employees have to do minimum physical work, and almost the whole work hour they have to do just sitting desk work only. If a person will just sit at his desk and does not do any physical activity, then it is ensured that his weight will surely increase.

However, this computer work saves many lives too by eliminating hazardous work which has to be done manually. For example, a computerized numerical control system machine is fully operated by computer logic, and all the hazardous work such as tool change and loading and unloading of jobs is done automatically by contradiction of manual machinery. All these tasks physically can cut hands or sometimes takes a person’s life too.

To reduce risk due to an increase in weight, we have to change our work methodology. Also, every person has to do at least half an hour of physical exercise such as weight lifting or swimming as this activity burns our body’s unwanted mass in terms of sweating. Also, our veins’ diameter increases due to an increase in blood circulation with exercise. As per my knowledge, many Japanese and German companies have introduced physical stretching time in their routine work to handle their worker’s physical lifecycle.
